I have a Volkswagen Eurovan Camper and could not find a mechanic who was able to fix the electrical and AC system. The Volkswagen dealers and the best VW mechanic in Austin TX both had my car for a week and were unable to repair it. Robert at A1 and his mechanic diagnosed and fixed the bad wiring, relays and were able to get my AC working like new. They are very honest and straight forward. Their facility may not be as fancy as a VW dealer but the service was 10x better and they actually got to the bottom of the problem without keeping my car for a week. I am so grateful to have found Robert and his shop. I was going to sell my van because no one before him could fix it.

Found this place on yellowpages.com, figured I would give them a call. J.R. answered phone eagerly, gave me a quote, and said to "Stop on by!" Dropped off driveshaft for an import that needed some u-joints replaced, he wasn't there but someone else took delivery. He called me in a couple of hours and said "Your're ready to rock and roll!" I walk back into shop, J.R. greets me, again with enthusiasm, and then thanked me for bringing this in for him to work on. He is either the owner or runs the place during the day. He then carried my part out to my car and finished the interaction with a good 'ol fashioned handshake. I was very impressed to say the least. The price was good, the work was done fast, and the customer service is well beyond the norm here in H-town.
